Bandung, W.Java (ANTARA News) – Some 60 countries, 370 stamp collectors, and philatelists are participating in a Bandung International Philately Competition and Exhibition 2017 being hold in Bandung, West Java Province, on Aug 3-7, 2017.
“Bandung has twice hosted a International Philately Exhibition, and this year, there are 60 participating countries and 1,937 frames showcasing stamps,” Chairman of a Indonesian Philatelic Society Soeyono settled here on Thursday.
The Bandung International Philately Exhibition 2017 was non-stop by Minister of Communication and Informatics Rudiantara in a participation of Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar and Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil.
Soeyono voiced confidence that a muster can assistance to popularize philately among immature people.
“We wish philately to turn some-more renouned among a immature people, as it has turn an archaic hobby,” he noted.
The 2017 International Philately Exhibition in Bandung is themed “The Bridge to a Peaceful World Through Stamps” and aims to strengthen family among philatelists worldwide to emanate universe assent and allege it in all aspects.
