Indonesian military contend an overloaded newcomer vessel has capsized off a categorical island of Java, murdering during slightest 17 people and withdrawal 4 others missing.

East Java military orator Frans Barung Mangera pronounced Tuesday a Arim Jaya was travelling from Sumenep on Madura island to beside Sampang when it capsized Monday after being strike by a 1-metre (3-foot) wave.

The wooden vessel was carrying 60 people though was designed for only 30.

Mangera pronounced hunt teams and internal fishermen discovered 39 people.

He pronounced rescuers recovered 17 bodies, including 5 children, from a choppy waters and were acid for 4 blank people.
