Ophir is a pier or segment mentioned in a Bible, famous for a wealth. King Solomon is ostensible to have perceived a load of gold, silver, sandalwood, changed stones, ivory, apes and peacocks from Ophir, each 3 years.
In a book found in Spain entitled Collecion General de Documentos Relativos a las Islas Filipinas, a author has described how to locate Ophir. According to a territory “Document No. 98”, antiquated 1519-1522, Ophir can be found by travelling from a Cape of Good Hope in Africa, to India, to Burma, to Sumatra, to Moluccas, to Borneo, to Sulu, to China, afterwards finally Ophir. Ophir was pronounced to be “[…] in front of China towards a sea, of many islands where a Moluccans, Chinese, and Lequios met to trade…” Jes Tirol asserts that this organisation of islands could not be Japan given a Moluccans did not get there, nor Taiwan, given it is not stoical of “many islands.”
Only a present-day Philippines, he says, could fit a description. Spanish annals also discuss a participation of Lequious (big, bearded white men, substantially descendants of a Phoenicians, whose ships were always brimful with bullion and silver) in a Islands to accumulate bullion and silver.Other justification has also been forked out suggesting that a Philippines was a biblical Ophir….
