Government to implement 271.5 thousand domicile gas connections

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – The government, by a Directorate General of Oil and Gas of a Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), targets to implement 271.5 thousand domicile gas placement connectors in 2017.

“In 2017, a aim is 271.5 thousand domicile connections, that includes 247.5 thousand connectors from state-owned gas distributor organisation PT PGN Tbk and 16 thousand from PT Pertagas firm. The growth is financed especially by supports from a state budget,” Director of Oil and Gas Infrastructure Planning and Development Alimuddin Baso remarked in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The supervision is targeting to set adult gas placement networks in a sum of 46 regions in 2017.

Since 2015, a sum of 210 city gas network areas were designed to be grown until 2019. The supports for 10 areas will be sourced from a state budget, while a rest will be saved by state-owned enterprises.

The use of a gas placement network tie is some-more fit than liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in cylinders. A three-kilogram (kg) LPG value Rp20 thousand-Rp23 thousand is homogeneous to Rp18 thousand of liquefied healthy gas (LNG).

As compared to a 12-kg LPG cylinder value Rp130 thousand, LNG distributed by a network tie is usually Rp72 thousand.

Earlier, ESDM Minister Ignatius Jonan had betrothed additional gas network connectors for households by a state bill supports in 2017.

“Funds for a gas network will be sourced from a allocation of around Rp190 billion for financing tank construction,” Jonan noted.

According to Jonan, presumption that a tie costs about Rp10 million per household, with additional supports value Rp190 billion, a sum of 19 thousand some-more connectors can be supposing in some regions in Indonesia.

“The use of additional supports will be accorded to a growth of a network,” he added.
