Gas reserve to energy plants should be prioritized: President Jokowi

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has settled that gas reserve to energy plants should be prioritized.

The boss done a remarks while inaugurating 8 mobile energy plants (MPP), with a total ability of 500 megawatts, during Jungkat village, Mempawah district, West Kalimantan province, on Saturday, state electricity association PT PLN pronounced in a press matter expelled on Saturday (March 18).

Also benefaction during a coronation rite were State Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan, West Kalimantan Governor Cornelis, and PLN President Director Sofyan Basir.

The 8 mobile energy plants embody MPP Jeranjang in West Nusa Tenggara province, MPP Air Anyir and MPP Suge in Bangka Belitung province, MPP Tarahan in Lampung province, MPP Balai Pungut in Riau province, MPP Raya Pasir in North Sumatra province, and MPP Mempawah in West Kalimantan province.

MPP Jerajang with a ability of 2×25 MW began handling on Jul 27, 2016; MPP Air Anyir with a ability of 2×25 MW on Sept 13, 2016; and MPP Nias with a ability of 1×25 MW on Oct 31, 2016.

MPP Balai Pungut with a ability of 3×25 MW started handling on Nov 13, 2016; MPP Suge with a ability of 1×25 MW on Nov 22, 2016; MPP Paya Pasir with a ability of 3×25 MW on Dec 9, 2016; and MPP Mempawah with a ability of 4×25 MW on Nov 8, 2016.

In his address, a boss remarked that PLN had over a joining to finish a construction of a 8 mobile energy plants as scheduled.

“When we visited this place (some time ago), we asked when a MPPs would be completed. The PLN boss executive betrothed to finish them in 6 months, and now he has successfully valid that,” he noted.

The construction of a 8 mobile energy plants, that cost some-more than Rp8 trillion, is partial of a governments module to build energy plants with a total ability of 35 thousand MW.
