Five arrested on tiger skin trade charges

Padang, W Sumatra (ANTARA News) – The West Sumatra sourroundings and forestry authorities on Sunday morning arrested 5 people on charges of attempting to sell a Sumatran tiger skin.

“The detain followed a open news that there would be a trade transaction of tiger skin and other parts. We after spied on a suspected perpetrators,” arch of a West Sumatra and Riau sourroundings and forestry confidence and law coercion group (BPPLHK) Edward Hutapea said.

The 5 were arrested during Jorong Simpang Nagari Koto Gadang village, Gunung Talang sub-district, Solok district, during around 08.00 a.m. internal time, he said.
